RUDIGER HAS SUCCESSFUL KNEE OPERATION

Antonio Rudiger underwent arthroscopic surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee on Saturday.

The operation went well and the 23-year-old defender will now begin a rehabilitation programme.

Rudiger, who featured 37 times and scored two goals for Roma last season, was injured on Tuesday 7 June while training with Germany at their base camp in Evian, France ahead of Euro 2016.
