ANCELOTTI: "LET'S PICK UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF"
Carlo Ancelotti spoke during the pre-match press conference.
"This game against Udinese is very important for us because we want to pick up from where we left off before the international break,” the boss told the gathered media in Castel Volturno at a media conference on Friday. We want to start again with the best result possible and keep our run going so this match takes absolute priority. Our minds will be fully focused on what will be a very tricky match tomorrow".
What are the dangers?
“The danger lies in us perhaps not being able to express our full potential. If we play to the best of our ability we're more likely to win than get any other result”.
Will you rotate again?
"For a start, I can tell you that Insigne won't be available. Lorenzo doesn't have anything serious but we're going to keep him here so that he can recover properly for Wednesday". When I pick the team, I'll have to consider the international matches and who came back when. Clearly those who stayed here and trained well have a better chance of playing tomorrow than those who came back tired from the international break".
How much more does your team need to improve before we can say they've reached their full potential?
“You have to keep improving constantly. I expect the players to improve individually and as a team. We're working to raise our performance levels. We have lots of excellent players here who can become even better".
