Serie A TIM

ALLEGRI PRE-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE

Massimiliano Allegri has moved to downplay the enthusiasm surrounding Juventus after the team's flying start to the campaign.

The Bianconeri's ten straight wins has led to claims from some quarters that they are dead certs to regain the Serie A TIM title and favourites to lift the Champions League.

I've read that we can win every game but that's not going to happen. Too much positivity lowers your energy levels” Allegri told journalists at his press conference ahead of tomorrow's match against Genoa.

Tomorrow we're up against Genoa and the last four times we've played them at home on three occasions we've beaten them 1-0. We must keep a low profile and focus on one game at a time. Over the next six matches we'll be playing for our place in the knockout stage of the Champions League with two exciting match-ups against Man United while in Serie A we have the chance to gain ground on our rivals. If we win tomorrow, we'll move further ahead of Inter or Milan as they playing each other, and we'll put pressure on Napoli, who play after us".

We must get stuck into Serie A TIM again with the right level of focus because the first game back after the international break is the most dangerous”.

JURIC'S GENOA
Genoa go into the game with a new coach at the helm after Ivan Juric was reinstated in place of Davide Ballardini at the start of international break, but Allegri isn't expecting any huge surprises.

I don't think Juric's side will be too different from the teams he's put together in the past. They'll be very aggressive and play man for man in nearly every area of the pitch, so we're going to need to put in a strong physical performance. Piatek has been something of a surprise and he's doing very well. When he's in the box the ball seems to be drawn to him".

JUVE TREATMENT ROOM
Allegri wasn't in the mood for revealing his team selection but he did provide an update on the injury situation.

Szczesny will start tomorrow but Perin will get his chance further down the line. I'm very happy with how he's doing. “The only player who will definitely be rested tomorrow is Chiellini. De Sciglio is fit and if he plays tomorrow it will be on the left but I need to assess Alex Sandro. I need to look at the midfielders based on who I pick up front".

About Cristiano Ronaldo: "He is very calm and is working well. He has integrated well, with humility, he has made himself available and has brought attention and sense of responsibility, which in any case this team has always had".

About Douglas Costa: "The most likely thing is that tomorrow he will enter from the bench, because he is working very well".
