ALEX MERET JOINS NAPOLI
Napoli is happy to announce the purchase of Alex Meret from Udinese. He will sign a contract until 30 June 2023.
Alex Meret was born in Udine on 22 March 1997.
After coming up through the Udinese youth system, he played two years in Ferrara with Spal, winning promotion with them to the Serie A in 2016/17. Last season saw him make his debut in Serie A, playing in Spal's 1-1 draw with Inter on 28 January 2018.He currently has 13 Serie A appearances to his name.
He joined the Italian national side setup early, with four U16 appearances, 13 with the Under 17s, two with the U18s, 19 with the Under 19s and one with the Under 21s: Italy 1-1 Norway on 22 March 2018 in Perugia. He has been called up three time to the senior national side.
