TONELLI EAGER TO BOUNCE BACK AND SHOW HIS QUALITY AT SAMP
The defender has been linked many times with a transfer to Sampdoria and this time Lorenzo Tonelli has arrived at the club, hoping to offer Marco Giampaolo’s side some experience at the back and perhaps a goal-scoring contribution at the other end of the pitch.
Speaking to the Doria media team following his arrival, the defender said: “I arrive here after two difficult years at Napoli career-wise. I didn’t play much and struggled to get in the team. I’m very eager to bounce back and get playing again, so I can show the qualities that I have.”
He also expressed gratitude to the club president for the opportunity and will strive to repay the faith shown.
As for his objectives here at Samp, Tonelli said: “I hope we qualify for the Europa League.”
