SPALLETTI PRE-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE
Luciano Spalletti was in for his usual pre-match press conference at the Suning Training Centre before the trip to face Lazio.
"Inter as a club are only satisfied by big results in big matches, taking up a place in the top four. To stay in the Champions League is now a goal, it's a prestigious recognition for us and there are strong teams at the top as there have been for years. The team has put in excellent performances recently and picked up excellent results".
About the match of last year coach Spalleti said: "From Lazio vs. Inter last season, I remember a fanbase in celebration after we reached an important goal amidst a number of difficulties, especially considering the strength of the opponent. We can only look to do it again. We don’t want to stop after such wins but we want to do it again and win more big games. We’re going to Rome to play".
On Icardi and Lautaro Martinez Spalletti said: "It’s possible that Icardi and Lautaro can play together, they have the characteristics to do it without it harming their individual qualities. There are things that have to be considered here on this subject. It depends on the moment, the opponent, we’ve done it before and we’ll look to do it again".
