SPALLETTI: "HAPPY WITH THE PERFORMANCE"
"A win which was the result of the team's efforts." Luciano Spalletti gave his thoughts after his side's 1-0 win over Sampdoria.
"I'm happy with the win; we ended 2021 with a poor run of form at home. We needed to make up for the points we'd dropped.
"Today wasn't an easy game and Sampdoria are no pushovers. We felt relieved after having scored because we were in control of the game throughout.
"I'm happy with the performance as we played well for the 90 minutes. We dominated them and we were alert to their counter-attacks.
"As for Lorenzo Insigne, Napoli fans love him both as a player and as a human being. He's been a crucial player for us and he can play an important role in us achieving our objectives this season."
