SERIE A’s YOUTUBE CHANNEL REACHES 5 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS

After celebrating the 5 million followers on Instagram, the official Youtube channel of the Serie A League achieves another great achievement of passing 5 million subscribers with an increase of 85% in the 2019/20 season alone!

The Serie A YouTube channel offered fans more than 1,200 videos during the 19/20 season, average out to more than 30 videos of content every week. Videos like Highlights, Top Goals, Best Moments, exclusive interviews and videos that show an archive of images are some of the best performing content formats on the league’s official channel.

The Serie A also celebrates statistics and data results in terms of viewing hours (over 30 million) and overall views (over 800 million). The channel’s audience is young and international, with over 64% of the video viewers ages between 18 and 34 of years of age.

62% of viewers are outside Italy, in particular from Indonesia, India, UK, US, Turkey and Brazil.

The best performing video of this season was the highlights video of the match between AC Milan vs Juventus, achieving over 21 million views on the YouTube channel in Italy and the world.

This milestone further enforces Lega Serie A’s presence as a leader on YouTube by being the first football-related and the first football-league channel in the world with the greatest number of monthly video views (source: tubularlabs.com). This great achievement has been reached thanks to the support of IMG and Little Dot Studios agencies, partners of Lega Serie A for the development of the official Lega Serie A Brand Channel on YouTube.

This goal has been accompanied by the numerical and strategical growth of Lega Serie A’s other digital platforms, which in the last year have seen exponential improvement both on the number of followers and the quality of content that is shared on the respective platforms with an aim to offer the best experience to Serie A’s fanbase across the globe.
