The 1st round of Serie A TIM 2022/2023 has come to an end. Here are some statistics and interesting facts about the matches played (Opta data):

AC Milan have scored at least 4 goals in the debut Serie A match of their season for the first time since August 2010 vs Lecce. This is only the second time for the Rossoneri in the current Century.

Atalanta have won their debut Serie A seasonal game played away from home without conceding any goal for the first time in their history.

Dany Mota scored Monza's first goal in Serie A history.

With Romelu Lukaku's goal against Lecce, Inter have scored the fastest goal in their seasonal debut in Serie A in the last 60 years: one minute and 22 seconds.

Ciro Immobile is the 4th player able to score in five matches in a row on his season debuts in Serie A in the three-points-for-a-win era (since 1994/95), after Roberto Muzzi, Andriy Shevchenko and Luis Muriel.

Giacomo Bonaventura has scored in 12 different Serie A seasons, the joint-most among the midfielders since his debut in the Italian top-flight in 2007/2008 campaign (alongside Antonio Candreva and Josip Ilicic).

In the last four Serie A campaigns the first AS Roma’s goal of the season has been always scored by a midfielder: Cristante in 22/23 v Salernitana, Mkhitaryan in 21/22 v Fiorentina, Veretout in 20/21 v Juventus and Ünder in 19/20 v Genoa.

In the last three Serie A seasons, Simone Bastoni is one of the four defenders to have provided 10+ assists, alongside Faraoni (13), Hernández and Di Lorenzo (both 11).

Napoli have won six seasonal debuts in a row in Serie A for the first time in their history in the competition.

Juventus have won in 12 of their last 13 seasonal Serie A debut played at home (only 1 game lost in this period, 0-1 vs Udinese in 2015).
