SEMPLICI'S POST-MATCH REACTIONS
SPAL's coach Leonardo Semplici spoke in his post-match press conference following the 5-1 win against Lecce in 2019/2020 Coppa Italia 4th Round.
“We wanted to do well in this game. We had an excellent first half, where we secured the result. These lads deserve credit for making progress in terms of their game. Now we must take further steps forward to achieve our objective. Brescia next will be important match against a team who are going through an unusual period. We’ll try to have a great game, putting in an important performance. We’ve lacked the right level of consistency at times. That’s the most important aspect. We knew this could be the case. Unfortunately we’ve dropped some points between the defeat to Sampdoria and the draw at Udinese. I believe these guys have the qualities to achieve our objectives.”
