SARRI: "WE CAN COMPETE VS JUVENTUS"
"If you score 3 goals against a team that doesn't concede so many chances is satisfying and it means we played really good". This is Maurizio Sarri's analysis in the aftermath of San Paolo's game and he also gives his opinion about the evolution of the qualification over the 2 legs:
"Some episodes, especially in the first leg, have been decisive over the qualfication overall. There's no such a difference between us and Juventus, a team that is about to win their 6th consecutive Scudetto and that will play the 3rd TIM Cup final in a row".
"What I can tell after this game is that we are getting closer to Juventus' standard and we can beat them. This is reassuring. However, I feel disappointed we coulnd't overturn the result but the players and myself gave everything tonight and we deserve the praise".
"Having Juventus on the ropes, both tonight and last Sunday, is something to be proud of and is also a boost for the remainder of the season. I don't know if the best team won but I know that the most winning team in Italy right now went through. As I said before, we've shown we are getting closer to their level as we play very good football and it's an important starting point for the future".
