POST-MATCH REACTIONS: GATTUSO AND ROMAGNOLI

Following the 1-1 draw at Empoli, Rino Gattuso analysed the game interviewed by Milan TV.

ON THE MATCH
"In the second half we played the game we had to play. Then the penalty came, but despite this we started attacking again. I think the team didn't concede much to our opponents and that at this stage we can't ask more from these boys".

ON THE MISTAKES
"Of all the goals we have conceded, many come from our mistakes. This is being costly. We have to keep working. It's important that we keep creating chances but we need to be more clinical. Many words are spent when results are not coming. I know what each and every one of my players can and can't do, both from a tactical standpoint and on the leadership aspect. I don't consider the latter a problem. We need to shake off all these fears we have".

ON THE NEXT GAME
"All matches are important, also today's was. We are not experiencing our best period in terms of results. What we are doing is not enough: we must do everything we can to come out of it. We can do this through hard work and self-esteem".

After the final whistle, the Captain, Alessio Romagnoli, reflected on the Empoli match: "We played a good game creating lots of chances. If I hadn't made that mistake we probably would have won the game. It was my mistake that gave them the opportunity to equalise, I take full responsibility for this. I don't think the team is afraid, we had lots of chances to win the game. We need to work hard to prevent these mistakes from happening again, starting from Sassuolo, on Sunday. We have to stick together".
