1997: Lippi's Juventus win the European Super Cup
Marcello Lippi's Juventus won their second European Super Cup in history, beating Paris Saint Germain 3-1 in the return final, played in Palermo. In the match on 5 February, the goals were scored by Del Piero (two goals in the 36th and 70th minutes) and Vieri (90th minute) for the Bianconeri, Rai (64th minute on a penalty kick) for the transalpines.
