NIANG AIMING TO BE READY FOR CUP FINAL

Mbaye Niang spoke to the Milan Channel earlier today:

"This injury has kept me out of action. I am working hard to get back to my best for the TIM Cup final. I am working with the fitness coaches and I have also started to train again with the rest of the squad. It’s good for me to be back with my team-mates and get a feel for the ball again. My goal is to be available for the final. I am starting to find my feet and I still have 10 days to be at my best".

"The win versus Bologna was important for morale. Our destiny is no longer in our hands, but we have to try and win. The final with Juve can also qualify us for Europe and so we have to stay focused. It’s vital we always train with the right desire to collect positive results".

"Roma are a strong team, but let’s not forget that we’re Milan. Against the big sides we have always shown what we’re capable of and we have to play to win. It’s a big match because we want to do everything to finish sixth and get into Europe. Milan last won the competition 13 years ago and so we have to do everything to bring the trophy back to Milan. These matches are easy to prepare from a mental standpoint and the focus comes by itself."
