MONTELLA: “WE SAW MANY IMPROVEMENTS"
Vincenzo Montella was satisfied after his team’s 1-5 win over Austria Wien. Following the match at Ernst Happel Stadion, the coach spoke to Milan TV about the performance of his boys. These were his words:
ON THE VICTORY
“It was a good performance, the team reacted as we expected, especially from a mental stand point. I am very pleased with the quality showed and all the individual performances: Calhanoglu, André Silva, also Kalinic and Abate. We saw many improvements".

“He gave a fantastic performance, he continues to play well. He was always in the right place. I am happy for him, this will contribute to his self-confidence. His performance today and his goals can give him a big boost".
CONTINUE IMPROVING
“We knew we would have opportunities to attack the spaces, as they are an offensive team. We would like to play like this all the time. Calhanoglu was great at assisting his teammates, besides having scored. We are very happy about the fans’ support and we want to carry on like this but we still have a long way to go, we must continue improving. My job is to give all the boys as much playing time as possible. There are many matches to come, and there is space for everyone”.
