MONTELLA, THE RESULTS SO FAR
After 10 days from the official season kick-off, Vincenzo Montella speaks at Milan TV of the first impressions on his AC Milan new adventure.
THE RESULTS SO FAR:
"Positive, so far. The boys are always willing, very curious and have a positive training approach. They are very professional. Of course, when the manager changes it is always a lot easier. Our goal is to mantain this positive attitude during the entire season".
TYPE OF TRAINING:
"I think that using the ball during the training sessions is important, as it's the football that you play with on Sundays. It is important to measure the workload, and Milan Lab and my staff are very helpful".
THE SINGLE PLAYERS:
"Donnarumma is a valuable player that has already proven a lot. He has a huge personality and a great fututre ahead of him". Bertolacci? " I am appreciating a lot his work these days: his self-sacrifice and understanding of my tactical needs. Last season wasn't easy for him, but it is important to get back in the game with abnegation. And this is what he is doing". Lapadula suitable for my style of play? "He is a player that has already proven great talent and will. Of course, he will now be playing in Serie A TIM and we need to give him some time".
SEASON EXPECTATIONS:
"We need to change something from what was done in the previous seasons. It cannot be only the managers' fault, the players as well must take more responsibility and understand the importance of playing for AC Milan".
CALL TO THE FANS:
"Milan fans are used to winning. Starting from these early season matches, we will try to bring back the enthusiasm among our fans so that they will come and cheer for us at the stadium".
