MONTELLA: "READY FOR A TOUGH AND EXCITING MATCH"

On the eve of the clash against Atalanta, Vincenzo Montella spoke to Milan TV and the other journalists at Milanello for the regular press conference ahead of the clash against the Nerazzurri from Bergamo. These were his words.

AC MILAN'S BIRTHDAY
"I am really proud to be part of such a great club on such an important day. It's a dream come true and tomorrow we have the chance to make a gift to our fans".

YOUTH SECTOR'S PARTY
"It was a wonderful event. I must say our Youth Sector is doing really great. Having so many youthsin the first team is something that makes us really proud. Growing up wearing the red and black colours has increased their sense of belonging to AC Milan".

ATALANTA
"It's going to be a tough and exciting match. Atalanta play on the counterattack, at great pace, they know what they have to do. We will need a bit of luck to break the deadlock as soon as possible. They have talented players such as Kessie, Papu Gomez, Gagliardini and Petagna. A great mix of young talents and more experienced players".

BACCA AND BONAVENTURA
"They are fit to play. Carlos has resumed training alongside his teammates and so has Jack. They are two essential players for us and they can play against Atalanta".

LOCATELLI
"Manuel being one card short of a suspension? When I decide the line-up these things don't matter. Yesterday he underwent a personalised training session, we'll see how he is today and tomorrow I'll decide whether to field him or not".

MIDFIELD
"Kucka is a unique player. He's had a bit of a downer but in the last few matches his physical condition has improved. Bertolacci? He played well against Roma, his injury is in the past".

THE DEFEAT AGAINST ROMA
"Of course it was not easy but we have managed to put it behind us. The clash against Roma has given me some answers: that we are improving and that we managed to play a great game against a team who will fight to win the title".

TRANSFER MARKET
"I am happy with the players I have and I don't want to think about the transfer market. Together with the management we'll discuss the situation and decide if we need someone".

NIANG
"He had a flu which debilitated him. He has spent lots of energies to recuperate. I see he is training hard, his dedication and that he is eager to improve. It's not an easy period for him, I am sure he will come out stronger".

PENALTIES
"Bacca is our penalty kick taker. Who should take it if he's not playing? I won't tell you".

ON HIS WORK
"I am really happy and proud of what we have achieved. I know there's still room for improvement".
