MONTELLA: "PLEASED WITH THE BOYS' ATTITUDE"
It was the deut of this 2017-18 season in a friendly match where the result is not important but the attitude is. And it was this that pleased Vincenzo Montella the most in his team's 4-0 win over Lugano. The boss after the match spoke to Milan TV commenting on the win and the performance of the whole squad, including the youngsters who also made onto the scoresheet.
ATTITUDE
"I am pleased with the attitude, also in the first half and overall in this first week of training. All the players showed great commitment, not only the new signings".

"When off the ball, in the first half, we didn't manage to play like we want to, but I saw the boys trying. In the second half, we played better. I am pleased because I have seen the right mentality".

"All the players are showing great abnegation, not just the new signings. I am pleased with this start. Have the youngsters done well? Over the past few years, several youths have made it into the first team. They need to build up experience. Today also Zanellato played. I am happy for Crociata. Cutrone, in particular, has improved a lot since the past seasons".
