MONTELLA: "IT'S BEEN A POSITIVE NIGHT"

After the match that saw Milan defeat Shkendija, coach Montella spoke to Milan TV commenting on tonight's perfromance and the qualification to the Europa League group stages:

POSITIVE NIGHT
“I am happy with the team's dedication but we could have played better, although I think it's normal since we were had a new system of play which we tried only once in training. I am pleased that we gave a chance to many youngsters. A win is always positive, therefore it's a positive evening.

TEAM'S ATTITUDE AND THE YOUNGSTERS
"I like this team's attitude, also of those who made their debut tonight. I am happy because there's the right spirti. We have to work hard to reach our goals but we are on the right path. We could not take the qualification for granted. We tried to play like we know we can, we have shown some good things but we still need to improve. We know that from now until December it's going to be a demanding period.

THE STRIKERS
"Cutrone played well and I am pleased with his goal, he's going through a positive period: he's scoring goals and you can see his self-confidence. While for André Silva it's different, you see he makes the right movements, he just needs that final touch, but we all believe he can do well because he has already shown his quality".

THE INDIVIDUALS
"Kalinic? I might bring him with us against Cagliari, he could start from the bench. Romagnoli? Physically, he did very well. He probably could have played more and I am sure that's what he wanted, but I preferred to take things one step at the time".
