MONTELLA: "CUTRONE IS STAYING WITH US"

Following the match against Crotone, Vincenzo Montella addressed Milan TV from the Ezio Scida Stadium. These were the boss's words:

ON CUTRONE
"We have decided to keep him with us. Last year he improved a lot playing with me, and this summer he has impressed me and now we are seeing the results. He is performing well but he has to keep calm because the toughest part is about to start: the pressure of being an AC Milan player, the media attention, which I wish wasn't as overwhelming. He needs to remain calm.

PENALTY TAKERS
"We have Kessié, then there's Ricardo Rodriguez who has scored a lot in training. This year we are not lacking penalty or free-kick takers.

BLACKOUTS
"As the season goes on and we play more matches, we will also improve on this aspect of the game

NEXT MATCHES
"We'll now play in Europe, we have to take advantage of every game to improve and try to be in our best shape soon. We have our objectives and we have incentives to reach them".

After the match also Andrea Conti was interviewed by Milan TV: "Winning the penalty and the red card gave us a great hand, this was the watershed of the game. We then did well to double the lead and then score the third goal". Analysing the match: "We knew it wouldn't be an easy game, Crotone stadium is a bedlam and the turf was not in great condition: we did well although we were too superficial on some occasions, especially in the second half. Let's take the positive from this night and try to improve every day". His role: "I prefer playing in a 5-man defence, but in my career, I've always played in a 4-man backline. I might have fewer chances to be in the opponents' box but I'm fine with this system and with what the boss wants from me". On AC Milan's right flank: "Kessié and Suso are two great players: I had already played with Franck, Suso is brilliant and makes the difference with his technique. I enjoy playing with them but we can still improve and need to get to know each other better". Finally, on the group: "We are a great group. It's easier because the majority of us are very young and we have those more mature players such as Storari who help us a lot. Victories are morale boosters: Thursday we have a 6 goal margin but we want to win again. Cagliari will come to San Siro to bounce back after a negative start to the season: it's not going to be easy but a win is all that matters".

Another former Atalanta player spoke to the Red and Black thematic channel as Franck Kessié commented on the match and his first goal in the Red and Black: "I am proud and have to continue like this. I am happy I had the opportunity to take the penalty, the boss told me to take it. I would like to score more than I did last season. Last year I started the campaign with a brace, this year scoring a goal: I want to keep it up". On Conti and Suso: "I enjoy playing with them, they are really quality players". Head down and work: "Now we have to keep this mentality. Let's concentrate on Thursday's match, then we'll start preparing for Cagliari".
