MILIC JOINS NAPOLI

SSC Napoli is pleased to announce the signing of Croatian defender Hrvoje Milic.

Born in Osijek, Croatia on 10 May 1989, Milic came through the youth ranks at Hajduk Split and made three Croatian top-flight appearances before moving to Swedish outfit Djurgarden in March 2009.

After 38 games and three goals during a two-year spell in Sweden, he returned to Croatia and joined NK Istra, where he scored five times in 57 appearances between 2011 and 2013. 

After that, he made the move to Russia and plied his trade for Rostov for the next two years, turning out 45 times for the Premier Liga side, scoring one goal.

He then spent the 2015/16 season back at Hajduk (28 appearances, one goal) before switching to Fiorentina in the summer of 2016, playing 17 times in his maiden Serie A TIM campaign. 

He also has 10 Europa League appearances to his name and a further 19 (with three goals) in various national cup competitions.

He won the Russian Cup with Rostov in 2013/14 and has featured for the senior Croatia team six times.
