MARCINIAK HANDED ROMA-PORTO
Szymon Marciniak has been appointed as the referee for Roma v Porto, the hotly-anticipated Champions League play-off second leg on Tuesday 23 August.
The Polish official has taken charge of Roma once in the past - the Giallorossi's 2-0 defeat at Real Madrid in last season's last-16 second leg on 8 March. Mr Marciniak has been registered with FIFA since 2011 and overseen six matches involving Italian sides in Europe, producing three wins, one draw and two defeats.
Assistants Pawel Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz will also be on duty at the Olimpico, along with fourth official Radoslaw Siejka. Pawel Raczkowski and Tomasz Musial have been named as the additional assistants.
