MANCINI: "GAMES LIKE THIS GOOD FOR OUR FITNESS"
Roberto Mancini was satisfied following Inter's friendly match against Real Salt Lake, pointing to the benefits of going up against a fitter team at this stage of pre-season. Speaking after the Nerazzurri's 2-1 win at Rio Tinto Stadium. he said:
"It was a good game. We worked on switching play and tried out the things we wanted to do. Playing against a team with better match fitness than us helps improve our condition. We needed to see how Erkin and Ansaldi settled into the team and get ourselves moving a bit because we're haven't loosened up properly yet. D'Ambrosio performed well at centre-back. He's got that versatility and he already showed that last year when he played there against Juventus in the TIM Cup".
On Sunday's International Champions Cup clash with Paris Saint-German: "It will be a different game to this one because PSG are at a similar stage to us in their pre-season.”
