GATTUSO DEMANDS SAME MENTALITY IN FUTURE CONTESTS
Speaking after his team’s 1-0 win in Bologna on Sunday, Gennaro Gattuso called on his team for more of the same.
“I know I have a strong group, what I want is the same mentality I saw today,” he said.
“If my team are really at it, these are the performances they produce. There's been a lot of talk recently and I've also heard some misplaced criticism. We just have to be calm and patient for all our players to get to the top of their game."
“Today we were good but our finishing could have been better. It’s at that end that we’ve been lacking in recent games. We have to improve in front of goal."
“I am happy with the performance, but in terms of the game I was also satisfied with the match against Sassuolo. We just didn't manage to take our chances and this then makes the outside world change their mind on how we’re progressing."
“I get angry when I hear about the Scudetto. We're not the ones who have to lead the league running – our job is to stay focused and go game by game, keeping our focus. This is our goal.”
