FONSECA: "WE'LL NEED TO BE VERY FOCUSED"
Roma's coach Paulo Fonseca held his final pre-match press conference of the year on Thursday afternoon, as he looked ahead to Friday's meeting with Fiorentina. The game at the Artemio Franchi gets underway at 20:45 CET, with the Giallorossi looking to end the calendar year in winning fashion.
“Roma always find it hard travelling to Florence. They’re a strong side, with a good set of players. They did very well indeed against Inter – it’ll be a test for us tomorrow. We’ll need to be very focused.”
On the players: “Smalling trained with us yesterday and today. He’s fine and an option for the match. Kluivert isn’t yet ready – it’s better that we avoid risking him for now. We need time for him to make a full recovery.”
