DI FRANCESCO HOPING TO CONTINUE GROWTH AGAINST NAPOLI

On Saturday night coach Eusebio Di Francesco was the guest of honour at the formation of a new Roma fan club near his home town of Pescara. With a big clash against Napoli awaiting the Giallorossi next Saturday, the coach was understandably asked a number of questions about the showdown with Maurizio Sarri's side.

"I think we are improving, growing as a group," Di Francesco said. "It's a positive sign and I hope we can continue on the same path for Saturday's difficult test against Napoli. Whether [the international break] is a good or bad thing you never know. But given the fact that a few players left San Siro with knocks last week, having a few more days may allow some of them to recover in time for Napoli."

The boss, after whom the new fan club is named, also had positive words about the inauguration.

"It's great to be celebrated by friends and fans of Rome," he added. "I know these events also helps the fans and club's players and staff feel closer."
