D'AVERSA: “WE’RE STICKING TOGETHER DESPITE THE DIFFICULTIES”

Following Sassuolo vs. Parma, the Gialloblu's coach Roberto D’Aversa met the press at the Mapei Stadium.

This is an important point in terms of the league table and our morale. Sassuolo had more of the play, but we missed a penalty. Considering the two changes that we were forced to make, the lads interpreted the game in the best possible way. They had to dig in and gave absolutely everything."

About the squad: “All in all, everyone did well. We asked them to be compact, remain organised and take advantage of the opportunities the opposition might present us with. We obviously missed the penalty, but Ceravolo did really well after that – this wouldn’t have been easy to overcome mentally. Both teams created a few chances, and Sepe did well to keep them out. The whole team deserves to be praised, we’re sticking together despite the difficulties we’re going through. We haven’t conceded a goal for two games and are continuing to work towards our objective. Those who miss penalties have the character to step up and take them, while those who don’t miss them are not the ones who take them. Consigli is one of the best when it comes to saving spot-kicks.
