D'AVERSA: "“IT’S A SHAME WE DIDN’T GET ALL THREE POINTS”"

Following the match against ChievoVerona (1-1), coach Roberto D’Aversa had this to say in the press room at the Stadio Ennio Tardini: “In terms of chances we deserved something more. We knew that we’d be coming up against a team back in form after doing well against Napoli and Lazio, however, I think that today we can be disappointed with the result. It wasn’t easy to get back into it and I want to praise the lads for doing so. From a commitment perspective, I can’t fault them. We lacked determination, particularly in the first half, however, I am pleased on the whole. What was missing in the first half, apart from three chances to take the lead, was clarity in bringing the ball out. As time ticked on, after conceding at the start of the second half, we then spent the majority of our time in their half. We had desire and it’s a shame we didn’t pick up all three points. A win would have pushed us forward in reaching our objective. We have to look at it as the glass being half full. It was a point earned and now we’ll focus on Sunday’s away game".
