CONTE: "WE HAVE TWO CHANCES TO CLINCH QUALIFICATION"
Three points in Baku to avoid a must-win match against Norway in Rome: this is what Antonio Conte expects from the Azzurri. The goal is in touching distance, but the manager knows that danger can lurk behind the last hurdle too: “We have two crucial games ahead of us,” Conte said, “we have two great chances to clinch qualification to UEFA EURO 2016 and we will try to capitalise on the first one. Azerbaijan are a good side, they have obtained four good results in a row now, including draws with Norway and Croatia. We know it will not be easy for us, they will inaugurate their new 60,000-seater stadium and give their all. We must be aware of that, work hard and get the maximum out of this game.”
Antonio Conte his happy with his side’s development: “The team are improving from a tactical point of view and are capable of playing in two different systems. People point out that we don’t score much, but we have also conceded very few goals so far. Let’s keep defending like this and become more clinical in front of goal.”
