CONTE: "WE HAVE TO WIN AND PLAY WELL"
Antonio Conte was full of confidence on the eve of the Malta game in Florence:
“Everyone has big expectations of the national team, we cannot look to the past. Italy have to win all of their games. We will have to do so tomorrow too: I want my team to play well and to get the three points, which are important for the remaining part of the campaign and for our general ambitions”.
The Azzurri manager still has a few question marks over his starting XI, but not on how his side will set out to play. Malta are bottom of the group, but they cannot be underestimated. “We have worked hard on tactics during the last two and a half days, I still have a few doubts but I will decide tomorrow. All of my players have put the effort in, and I hope to see the results of this on the pitch”.
