"CALCIATORI-FIGURINE": THE EXHIBITION AT MONDO MILAN

"I have it, I don't have it..." it's the catchphrase that has united generations of fans of all teams in the historical tradition of collecting and swapping stickers. The relationship of a fan with his team is an unconditional love story which lives on in the stickers Album Calciatori Panini. AC Milan has decided to celebrate the story, the origins and the evolution of the stickers album in Italy by telling the story of this historic brand. The result is the temporary exhibition, with the patronage of the City of Milan, displayed inside the Mondo Milan Museum "Calciatori - figurine in mostra" inaugurated on March 25th and open until 31st December 2017. A path full of emotions and memories, where every fan can find something unique, the rarest sticker of all: yours.

The exhibition is displayed in four different rooms:

- The first room shows the early stages of the sticker in the Italian market, not as an editorial product, but as a gadget combined with other goods, such as sweets and chocolates. Inside the room, you can see many items displayed for the first time in their original version.

- In the second room, a wall displays a selection of stickers, including many that reproduce the Red&Black legends, from the first sticker album of the 1961-1962 season to the album of this campaign. Every visitor will discover the graphic evolution of the product and find, among those on display, their favourite players.

- In the third room, the focus is on the industrial production of the stickers with a display of the authentic equipment used for printing.

- In the fourth and last room, the visitor will discover the most precious relic of the entire collection. For the first time, it will be possible to see the original cover design of the first Album Panini. It is the original sketch hand-drawn by Giuseppe Panini, founder of the publishing company. The image portrays Nils Liedholm, legendary captain and coach of the Rossoneri while heading the ball. Last but not least, two original press sheets, the edition ’61-’62 and the current one, before the stickers were cut.

A unique and original path to discover every sticker accompanied by the inevitable catchphrase... "I have it, I don't have it...".
