BUFFON, CUADRADO AND PJANIC HAIL "HUGE" WIN

BUFFON: "We still need to get better. Our performance tonight, especially when it was 11 versus 11, is not going to be enough for us to go all the way. We showed we could dig in and take responsibility, but we have plenty of room for improvement and we need to use the time ahead of us to grow as a team. I didn’t celebrate any of the saves because I wanted to conserve my energy and stay focused. There was still a long way to go and when you’re down to ten men you know there’s always a chance you can end up losing. Lyon have a lot of quality up top but we responded by keeping things really tight when we were a man light. The win goes a long way towards securing qualification from the group”.

CUADRADO: “Lyon are a great side and they were very tough to beat. We went down to ten men but then produced a vintage Juve performance. We’re not just a team – we’re a family too. I tried to work it onto my right foot. I got my head up, saw the gap, put my boot through it and the ball went in! We want to finish top of the group, but as of tomorrow we’ll be focusing solely on AC Milan. It’s a head-to-head game so it’s very important for us.”

PJANIC: "We knew we really wanted to get the win before the match so we never showed any fear – not even when we went down to ten men. We gave it 200% after the sending off and eventually got the goal. This is a huge win. We knew it was going to be tough with ten men, but as I say we showed no fear. We know there are no easy games in the Champions League and Lyon produced one of their best performances of the season tonight. Every match counts in Europe and you’re not always going to win and dominate, but we showed character and desire to get the victory tonight. Buffon? It’s crazy to question him. There’s not much left to add – Gigi is always there when you need him. He’s a great person and a fantastic goalkeeper and he proved his quality once again tonight".
