BROCCHI: "LET'S FINISH ON A HIGH NOTE"

The coach Cristian Brocchi spoke exclusively to the Milan Channel before facing the press earlier today. Here is an extract of what he had to say to the club’s in-house TV station:

"Niang is not ready to be called-up because he is following an individual training programme. He has been out for 65 days and he had a serious injury. We are sure that he will be available for the TIM Cup final, but he has a training-plan to follow. Tomorrow and the day after that he will keep working on an individual training programme so we can have him ready for the final. Antonelli has to be monitored on a daily basis. Yesterday he had a check-up and it went fairly well. However, we cannot be certain that he will be available for the TIM Cup final but we are hoping he will be fit again".

"Our possession levels have increased and our pressing in the final third of the pitch, but we haven’t been able to couple this with a few extra positive results that would have highlighted this. I realise the fans aren’t happy, and neither am I, but I am certain that we are on the right path and seeing a player try certain moves and movements shows this. Roma won’t be coming here laid back. They are the in-form team right now and they have gone on an impressive unbeaten run."
