BIABIANY: " WE WANT TO PICK UP POINTS TO AVOID THE DROP"

Jonathan Biabiany spoke to the media this afternoon. The forward was one of the key players in the Crociati’s win against Torino on Saturday. He had this to say about the match: “We managed to get a vital result, that’s for sure. It was not only important for our morale and due to the three points we got out of it, it was also significant in terms of us continuing what we’ve been doing since the start of the season. Although it’s still early in the season, it’s important to gain points to avoid relegation. Once you achieve survival you can start to look at the teams above you in the table".

His injury is now behind him: “My physical condition is good, I’ve recovered after my injury. I’m available to the coach when he needs me. I wanted to get myself up to speed and show that my condition is good, I feel 100% fit. Against Torino, I defended more than I attacked, but it is well-known that the Granata try and force the play. It was important to stop them and hit them on the counter, which is what we do best. It’s normal for the fans to have high expectations of me – I remember this from the seasons I have already spent here. I just have to do what I know I’m good at and the rest will follow. D’Aversa? He prepares well, he studies our opponents and it’s certainly possible to say that he’s well-prepared in this respect".

I’ve grown, and not just in terms of my age –  Biabiany continued – I’ve learned from the various coaches I’ve had in my career. The group is very united, and this is something that we’ve continually displayed. We also need to remember what has happened in the last few years. Everyone works for one another, this is what is great about Parma".

To finish off, he commented on Parma’s next league opponent: “Sassuolo are a very good team. We have to do what the coach asks of us while always staying focused and not giving anything away. If we do these things, we can get points out of this game too".
