BERTOLACCI: "PLAYING WITH ENTHUSIASM"
Andrea Bertolacci was a guest of Studio Milan on Monday night and spoke about how his adventure with the rossoneri is going mid-way through his first season.
"After three wonderful years at Genoa I came here with a lot of enthusiasm. I really believe in my decision to come here to Milan and I remember really well when a friend of mine sent me a photo of the big screen at San Siro and the fans celebrating when on May 2012 i scored the equalising goal in Juventus-Lecce 1-1 when the bianconeri were fighting for the scudetto with Milan. In these years with Milan I want to complete the opera."
"What I am sorry about on a personal level is the injury I picked up in Rome against Lazio because I was in really good shape then, both physically but also mentally and having to take a break then really got me down. I think so far the Milan fans have only seen 50% of my potential, not more. I tend to ingnore all the people who judge me or criticise me or talk about me because I cannot afford to waste energy and levels of concentration away from the team and myself. I know all too well that the valuations on the transfer market and what happens on the pitch are two very different things, so I have already got over that moment and I am only looking to the future."
We have to keep going like in the second half against Roma. We must never start like that again, with such an uncertain start, it isn't like Milan, althoug I am convinced that if the foul against me had been given right at the start there would never have been the chance for Sadiq and then as there would also not have been their opening goal. But I am saying this without any controversy, just analysing what happened at the start. And I repeat we cannot start like that again. I want to wish Luca Antonelli all the best, both for his marriage today and also for the birth of his child, which is coming soon. I also got married just before Christmas and I know how important and beautiful family is!".
