ANCELOTTI PRAISES ATTITUDE IN WIN AT FROSINONE

Speaking after Napoli’s 2-0 win away at Frosinone on Sunday afternoon, Carlo Ancelotti underlined the importance of his team consolidating their hold on second place in the table.

The Azzurri's coach said: "It was important to win but also show some positive signs. The team showed a positive attitude right away, taking firm control of the game. We’re putting a difficult and strange period behind us, but now our aim is to get to 80 points and round off the season positively. As well as improving as a team, we need to be more clinical in attack. That’s an area we want to improve on in future."

Meanwhile when asked about Dries Mertens, who scored his team’s first goal, the coach said: "I always see good things from Dries – he works for the team, gives everything on the pitch. I’m happy with him, in every way. He deserves to draw level with Maradona and to wear this shirt. I see him in the Napoli side of the future – he’s important in terms of what he communicates to the rest of the team, in a human sense."

And finally, on Amin Younes, he added: "He’s shown what he can do – he’s got excellent technical skills. He’s spent a while on the side-lines, and it’s been tough to get back to full fitness. Now he’s fine and will give Napoli a great deal in the coming years."
