ANCELOTTI: "A USEFUL POINT FOR THE GROUP STANDINGS"

Carlo Ancelotti feels a point against PSG is a decent result for Napoli as it leaves them in good stead in the Champions League group. The Azzurri find themselves top of Group C with six points after four matches, level with Liverpool and one ahead of PSG and Red Star Belgrade, who defeated the Reds 2-0 in the night's other fixture.

It's a useful point. Nobody expected Napoli to be top of such a tough group after four games. If we're where we are, it means we're doing well".

The coach went on to analyse the match itself, which saw Juan Bernat's goal on the stroke of half time cancelled out by Lorenzo Insigne's penalty following a spell of relentless pressure by Napoli: "We were perhaps a bit too cautious initially but we could have finished the first half level. Once we went behind the lads did really well to push up and peg Paris Saint-German back. We were superb for the first 30 minutes of the second half, when we dominated proceedings. After all the pressure we piled on trying to get ourselves back in the game, we felt a touch of fatigue towards the end but I'm pleased with the way we played and the mentality we showed".

Ancelotti wouldn't however be drawn on calling Napoli's chances of making it out of the group: "I don't know how good our chances of qualifying are. We haven't been making any calculations so far and we're not going to start now. We certainly weren't expected to be first in the group at this stage .We have two more decisive matches to come. I don't think there's a more evenly balanced group anywhere else in Europe. Red Star are back in the mix too now. We have a slight advantage in head-to-head results with PSG but all four teams are still in it".
